Israel's prime minister backs Kurdish independence

"The Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, has voiced support for Kurdish statehood, taking a position that appears to clash with the US preference to keep sectarian war-torn Iraq united.

Pointing to the mayhem in Iraq, Netanyahu on Sunday called for the establishment of an independent Kurdistan as part of a broader alliance with moderate forces across the region"

Apparently Israel has be backing Kurdish fighters for quite a while now and is looking for an post ISIS universe with and independent Kurdistan. Independent Kurdistan is going to be a pluralistic society, with a large female force.

Kurdish fighters are the one force that is having much success fighting Isis.

Didn't the Kurdish Workers Party abandon the idea of a "state" a while back? They went communalism.. Maybe "state" is just being used generally?
