You cant return to a part of the world when the only connection you have with it is the fact that this particular area was, more than 1500 years ago inhabited by people who shared the same religion as you. You cant convert to Shinto and start saying youre going to return to Japan. You have to have more or less close Japanese ancestors for that. You cant convert to Islam and start saying youre going to return to Saudi Arabia. Now if at least four of your greatgrandparents were Saudis, its a different story. You can only return to the land of your CLOSE ancestors. You have to have a relatively strong genetic justification for your return to that land. Most jus sanguinis legislations in the world do not allow the return of descendants that left the homeland 500 years ago, let alone, 1500. The israeli Law of Return is the most ridiculous piece of legislation in the entire world.
