Lets see the Patriot act has been redone at least once and maybe twice since it first appeared. And every time it passes with BIPARTISAN support.

The courts have ruled on parts of it and for the most part have upheld it.

What freedoms are health care reform and regulating private industry destroying? Did you not hear that most of what he was talking about was how the government didn't have a right to regulate as in control businesses and how they operated? That is the freedom that is being destroyed along with the patriot act violations people on the left hate by mis-interpreting the commerce clause in that way.

They just chant its wrong or a danger to your civil liberties (which it could be) but have yet to show what aspect in the constitution it is violating. This is what this judge is doing. He is showing that this is unconstitional by pointing out specific clauses it is violating which is something people on the left would start doing instead.

This really ain't about the patriot act as much is it is about the mis-interpretation of the commerce clause that is leading to the assorted abuses such as health care or the patriot act. He spent a small portion talking about the patriot act but started with health care and ended with the general regulation of businesses. Do you see how he was talking about more than just the patriot act?
