CDZ Is This "Hate"..... ?

There are also Biblical references through out the Bible stating that "men with men" is an abomination in God's sight.

Then why did he invent homosexuals? To give straights someone to judge or hate or change?

If it wasn't one of the ten commandments, I don't think we should really attribute it to God. He didn't really write the bible, men did.
God did not "invent" homosexuals. People develop all kinds of strange "sexual appetites" - many say they were born with them (not just homosexuals, people with other deviant sexual and other desires say they were born with them as well). Once Adam and Eve sinned, all the bad in the world entered - but that's another discussion.

Hypothetical Situation: Straight Christian and Gay Christian are close friends. Straight friend will do anything for Gay Friend, but, won't be the best man/maid of honor at his/her wedding because they believe Gay marriage is against their Christian principles.
"Hate" and "Intolerance" ... or something else?
Or is he/she just being true to their faith and being non-hypocritical?
Should the Gay person have even asking knowing the close friend is a Christian?
Should the Gay person be offended or understanding? Thoughts?

Hate is defined as the irrational, intense feelings of dislike for someone or something.

Since there exists a perfectly sound basis or rationale, there is no potential for hatred.

I've heard some express that hatred does not need an irrational component to exist, the problem with that reasoning is that absent irrational nature, hatred is merely an intense, but otherwise well founded dislike, thus such could not be assigned the stigma of being 'intrinsically unreasonable', which is of course, the only purpose possible for the word.

Then why did he invent homosexuals?
Reason suggest, if 'God invented' homosexuals, he did so for a purpose.

Now what would be the purpose of 'inventing' that adversity? And wouldn't that specific adversity be 'invented' for the same purpose as the rest of the litany of potential adversities, to build the character which can overcome such?

Don't care to get into religious argument. We can agree to disagree on the acts of God.

It would be nice if all believers agreed, but, that won't happen. So, yep.

there is only one God with one set of rules. Someone has to be right. No?

"Hate" and "Intolerance" ... or something else? neither
Or is he/she just being true to their faith and being non-hypocritical? a best buddy opting out of a wedding? could only be his faith
Should the Gay person have even asking knowing the close friend is a Christian? yes, but he needed to be ready for the 'sorry, no'
Should the Gay person be offended or understanding? Understanding in the end. It's ok to be a bit pissed, but since they are buddys, it'l pass

neat question

There are many adversities - I have my own, I just choose to abstain. Because God is more important than any desires I have.

Since there is no "Christian principle" concerning this issue and since the friend pretty much made that up, I'd say he's not much of a friend.

This whole non-issue of wedding cakes, flowers, the wedding itself, all of it falls apart when you ask if the homophobes also refuse to associate with real "sinners".

Does the "christian" baker refuse to serve adulterers? thieves? How about the florist? Does he refuse flowers to actual sinners?
first leftist, first lie in the thread.

good job, wish I had predicted it.

Then you are a wise individual.

Just ignorance about what the Bible (a collection of letters and early mythologies) really is.

Too many Christians rely on their "Pastors" to explain the bible to them and they willingly give up their God-given ability to think and reason for themselves.

The Gay has every right to ask his so-called "Christian" friend to act like a Christian, and not a homophobe.

He can ask.

There is no such thing as 'the Gay'.

There are homosexuals... A sexual orientation which deviates from the human sexual standard, which also presents as a mental disorder.

There is no such thing as. Homophobe.

Which means that 2/3rds of the points of references relevant to your would-be contribution are deceits, fraudulently advanced as a means to influence those ignorant of that deceit.

The question now becomes, why would a person publicly advance deceit as truth? What purpose does that serve?

Gay is a term for Homosexual, perhaps you where not aware.

Sexual orientation spans a range from Heterosexual to Homosexual - with Bisexual and asexual being in the middle.

Every human being ever born falls somewhere in that range. This is not opinion. In every species on earth their exists asexual, bisexual, and homosexual behavior/orientation.

They are as God made them.

Homophobe referes to a person who holds an irrational fear of homosexual and homosexuality that manifests itself in the form a prejudice. Many homophobes will used "religious convictions" as a cover.

I am aware that the word Gay has been hijacked as a fraudulent colloquialism, designed to instill traits which do not exist in homosexuals, as a means to misrepresent homosexuality.

Sexual orientation spans a range from Heterosexual to Homosexual - with Bisexual and asexual being in the middle.

There are two sexual orientations, that of the Male & that of the Female.

The male sexual orientation is that which craves sexual gratification from the female and the female sexual orientation is that which craves sexual gratification and emotional validation from the male.

There are also, various mental disorders which induce the delusion wherein a the gender sought for gratification is the same as the individual doing the craving.

Mental Disorder does not an 'alternative gender' make.
