And at a time when authenticity is a highly valued asset—for better or worse—Biden boasts the natural political skill set that Clinton clearly lacks. He's a happy warrior who enjoys campaigning and isn't constrained by talking points or rope lines. He's able to ham it up with union rank-and-file, while also giving a stem-winding speech blasting Republicans in Congress. His all-too-frequent malapropisms are endearing at a time when voters are cynical about scripted politicians.

This could end up being one of the administration's biggest political miscalculations: going all in on Hillary Clinton while neglecting the obvious appeal of the vice president. If voters really want a third term of Obama's policies, why not back the candidate who unabashedly represents his vision?

The "gaffe machine" stuff the conservatives like to laugh about is overrated. Only political junkies know about that, and if Biden can stay in control of that, he could be the wild card here.

Hilly needs to step aside for Joe. Biden has real executive experience, what does Hillary have?

I am worried if Biden is elected that they will then "put us all in chains."

Clinton has lots and lots of money. I pray that her criminal activities will pull her out of the race and that she doesn't make the primaries. Biden may not be in a position right now to run, and there's the death of his son that he needs time to get over. He was being picked on before his son's death. Lot's of crap about him using inappropriate behavior around female children and grown women.

I think most Americans see Biden as a really good guy who has done his job well, but they do not see him as presidential material when sitting next to Hillary. Now that perception may be unfair, but it is true.

Two of the Fox talking heads this AM in the locker room on the TV were saying now is the time for Joe: they say he is likeable, experienced, and supported by the mainstream right of center to left of center as well.
