Is States Secession in the Future for USA???

A more likely scenario is that Mexico will invade the southwest, Russia will invade Alaska, and the Canadians will take over shipping in the St. Lawrence River. At that point The Northeast states will declare gay marriage as the law of the land and because of that The South will secede, taking along wit it Texas and Louisiana. The northeast states will declare war but we'll simply cut off the oil and natural gas pipelines to them. Maybe Japan will take over Hawaii and what's left of California and the west coast.

Fact of the matter average Americans are growing increasingly agitated with unconstitutional financial bailouts to corperate crooks and the knowledge that in no way would we ever be able to pay all that back, not necessarally improbable but impossible. The government knows for a fact that WE THE PEOPLE for the most part are not totally stupid ecspecailly the ones that didnt vote for the Kenyen foreign national "OBAMA". President elect OBAMA in my deepest beleif will be a one term president, he will not go down in history as a failure as Obama is walking into a already failed economy in which he helped create and for this reason will not be able to help. Obama beleives that because we are already in deep financial debt that a few more trillion in socialist programs wont hurt???
It'd be stupid to even consider saying that we are not losing our freedoms and rights by leaps and bounds when the very fact that we've just been strapped with over a trillion dollars in brand spanking new bailout debt, besides the already standing national debt, this's not freedom folks this's pure bondage. The sovereign states are also growing weary of activist judges posing Federal laws against the will of the majority..
Mark it down the USA is a massive freight train rushing down the tracks of chaos to head on collision with social and financial disaster...

The Supreme Court ruled in 1868 in White v Texas that states do not have a right to secede. I don't agree with it, but that's a whole different topic.

The fact is, the Federal government has given itself the legal right to hold states within the union by whatever means necessary. Basically, secession would require a successful armed rebellion.

If the rebels were to rise up against the Fatherland, true patriots would come to the Republic's defense & put down the illegal insurrection with extreme prejudice....

In fact, I think the south had that right and the north stepped all over them.

Personally, I'd like to revisit that ruling, overturn it, and let Texas be the first to secede. Take Alaska with ya, but since Texas is truly like its own country, let them go first

The idea that the US would break up is so ludicrous as to not even rise to the level that someone should expend mental energy considering it.

It has less a chance of occurring than the new fantasy that someone thought up that Northern Virginia secede from Virginia and become the 51st state.

Both of these would require great energy from citizens who are not inspired to act. Could they be so inspired? I cannot imagine a scenario where they could be.

Being taking over by Japan...hmmm...well I do have a lot of Japanese friends and it is the cleanest country I've ever seen. Of course, most of the Japanese that come here want to remain here, but well, I would love to live in Japan. They have one of the best public transportation systems in the world. The people are friendly. Heck, they leave their bicycles out at night and don't even have to lock them, so no petty crime. Not sure that would be all bad.

Thinking back on this further, I think China would be more likely.
