We call it desert. When there is no crawdad, we eat sand.

There's always some ice cream in the freezer so we usually have that- maybe a couple hours after dinner. Dessert was never a big deal around here.

I usually eat enough entrees for two or 3 people, and between that and a few beers I never have enough room for dessert.

I eat dessert as its own meal during different times. Usually for calorie loads.

my gf's from scratch bread pudding is amazing. its one of the few times I crave dessert.

I have been eating dessert more recently though as its end of summer and a bunch of high-end new orleans restaurants typically have a bunch of 3 course lunch deals as part of the "coolinary" season.

I grew up having homemade dessert every night. I was shocked when I got older and my friends were like "dessert is only a special occasion thing".

My mom always baked and would frequently decide what to have for dessert before deciding what to have for dinner. We always had cherry pie on George's b-day. lol

There's always something here for dessert but it never lasts long. The piggies in the house devour whatever homemade goodie is around . . . . but quick!

I make a mean pecan pie from a recipe in a Good Housekeeping Cookbook that my mom got for a bridal shower present some 58 years ago. Damn, it is sooo good. Always baking and teaching the kids.
