is dessert important to you?

Stoves and counters are not made for wheelchairs.

I do cook several things very well though.
chili, homeade from scratch brownies...

And I have a grill modified for wheelchair access.
I do great things on the grill.
Need to get me some NW salmon steaks to grill....

Bob Vila actually wrote on this:

Accessible Solutions: Kitchens

This looks good too:

Barrier Free Kitchen Design

My dad had a good section of kitchen counters lowered in his FL home, as my mom was in wheelchair when they moved down there. They had countertop stove on both levels, recessed cabinets under the lower ones, so they could cook together. My dad was 6'1" so no way was he going down to 30some inches for any length of time.

The only appliance I remember my mom having a terrible time with was the blender, too tall on counter. Food processor took care of most of that problem.

Yaah I considered that, however my remaining time is so not long enough to inconvenience my housekeeper or subsequent occupants of this house...
And since I have a great housekeeper/cook anyway.

But thanks for the info.

Stoves work very well with wheelchairs.
I have a friend who had a bad accident in high school, he was eating crappy microwave heated frozen crap because that is all he could really do.

My friend and I built him a lowered in-counter cook top stove that spun around like a spice rack. He said we should patent it.

Considering the 'graying of the baby boom,' that long ago advice might be a very good idea.

Perhaps I should patent my 4wd 30 mph power chair I designed and built?

I had to govern it down to 30 mph, kinda unstable over 30.
Hnady as heck outside though, and I turn on the flashers and go to the local country store in it.

A bit cumbersome inside so I got one of those hoverrounds for inside.
Plus my big one left black marks on the wood floor.

Indeed! Umm, make sure it comes with a helmet and crash pads for knees and elbows!

Ahh it has a leather bucket seat with seatbelt and rollbar.
And a topper that keeps the rain and sun off.
Mp3 player and fold out laptop computer holder.
I have zenon flashers on the rollbar and a fannie flag (SMV sign) on the back.
A holster for my .45 built in and a 12V cooled cooler.

I am ready!!!

No air conditioning though :(

that thing would tear hell out of my yard.

cool though.

Nope not me.
too purty to be me ;)

The tracks could prove valuable at places like Wal-Mart, no having to choose alternative aisles when the one you need is blocked by an impromptu "family reunion".
:eusa_whistle:

When I'm alone, and if I want desert after meal I eat hazelnut, almonds, peanuts etc...
You have to try it out: Take some Almonds and put them into microwave so they become hot. Baking oven is also possible.
This way they taste better.
