"Is Britain to blame for many of the world's problems?"

Most of the issues in the post colonial states are not totally a result of colonialism but primarily a direct result of the somewhat arbitrary redrawing of national maps by the European nations in the old colonies after WWI and WWII. WWII effectively ended colonialism by the west, though it took until the 50s to almost completely eradicate it.
The redrawing of said maps took no account of tribal regions, cultural or religious differences and local natural assets not to mention in many of these areas tribal, national and religious warfare had been suppressed by the occupying country and resurfaced after said country had relinquished control.
 
I can put up with the snaggleteeth and the Spotted Dick, it's the butchery of the English language that is intolerable.
