Is anyone into microcontrollers?

Arduino?
ATtiny?
Propeller?
STM32 Cortex F4?

If you don't know what these are, you aren't into the kind of electronics I am into.

Nope.................

But I do know Bad Boys Rape Our Young Girls But Violet Gives Willingly.

Eli the Ice man.

UJT's, PNP's Npn's, or Nor, exclusive or, Nand and stuff like that.

Don't know your side...........But I could get an EIMB book to figure out the logic of the chip.

Eagle,

I'm putting you on my ignore list for that comment.

I'm curious as to how you utilize these applications.

Something like this:

Or this:

Or this:

Or this:

Don't try this at home because you don't know what you are doing and it can be fatal.

if you can read the specs on the chip or any other component.

But I will settle for this:

I did like it when I used my spare time to work on these in the Army.

This is permanently dangerous without the right equipment.

This was done with computers or microcontrollers:

Ditch the hobby stuff and go with Cortex or PIC depending on your wallet.

With PIC --- you can gradyeate to DSP cores for about 4 bucks..
Just be careful of who's compiler you use. MOST of these are poorly documented GUESSING GAMES at to what the provided calls really do... You end up bit and register poking more often than not..

My wife and I are a team.. I do the system and the science, she does most of the firmware programming.. I provide the app level software.. Been doing this for 20+ years. Some projects are a blast --- others are a snooze..

Well done.. But annoying..

Used to be --- we had a couple ancient Epson printers. Including one jumbo one for printing large schematic sheets.
The absolute RACKET those POS printers made drove me nuts. I finally took 'em out and blew them to bits with a shotgun..

A couple months later --- Epson comes out with a new Ad campaign.. Similiar to your post above. Something about "there's nothing like the sound of an Epson printer"..

I guess they KNEW how annoying their products were. Since companies always advertise to their weaknesses...
