Not to support the call for another militia, but it's clear that religious persecution continues against Christians in the Middle East.

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Leaders of the ever-dwindling Christian population in Iraq say church bombings and attacks against their communities may force them to take up weapons. Two more churches were bombed in Mosul last week, and some Christians say extremist Muslims are terrorizing them with the intent of ousting them and seizing their houses and belongings.

Iraq is home to one of the oldest Christian communities in the world, made up largely of Chaldeans, an ancient people who speak a modern form of Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke. Metro Detroit is home to one of the largest Chaldean communities in North America. Its population is estimated to be more than 60,000 people, many of whom immigrated from Telkaif, a town near Mosul.

Bombing at mosques occur on a regular basis and we all know about the attacks in Israel. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Are you really justifying attacks against innocent people who happen to be in a house of worship at the wrong time?!?

No, of course not. I am saying that these extremists are desperate in de-stabilizing the region that they will actually go into places of worship and commit acts of violence (which is one of the biggests evils preached in the Quran).

So then what is your response to the weekly attacks and vandalism on Muslims in the US?

These attacks against Christians in Iraq did not occur until after the occupation.

The crusaders definitely hold some of the blame here.

People who attack others or vandalize their property should be punished, according to law.
