Interesting trend

HOLY SHIT--It's a clue--did you did a deep hole ?---what a maroon.

Insults are all you have? How sad.

I thought it was a funny thing to write in the sand.

Of course it was the People's Republic of Maui.

no it's not---but the silence from both parties on this issue is overwhelming. I've heard people whining for 8 fricking years about these damn machines. Where's Dean---where's Obama--where's Biden ? Apparently not worried enough to say a damn thing. Is this the same chicken shit behavior that we can expect from them on other issues that people think are important ? No comment---"it's above my pay grade" ?

Well the guy in Michigan has been on it. The GAO has been on it. But I agree,

I want some real action, I want paper trails and transparency.

I do notice that you only name Dems as being the ones with something to bitch about... at least you're honest and know the machine cheat in favor of the Republicans.

In order to do something about it they would have to take on every Supervisor of Elections in every state in every county because each one sets their own standards of what type of machine they want to use. There is no legislation to my knowledge governing this.

I watched this when it aired and I was completely disgusted and alarmed. I think we all suspect there is stealing of elections but this proves it.

BOTH parties should be outraged...

:iagree: I remember watching this and being disgusted and alarmed myself.

It's a great movie that is a eye opener and will make you distrust Democracy in this country a bit more if not fully.

A related link about the Diebold machines.

This was on CNN and yet it's still widely ignored.

Amazing yet at the same time not surprising.

We should be outraged by Bush-Cheney and their butt buddies, McCain-Palin.

I haven't claimed the machines cheat anyone. I just know that only the democrats whine about them and accuse them of stealing elections.

watch the videos I posted dillo and then tell me someone isn't stealing elections. You can stick your head as far up your own ass as it will go...it won't change the facts.

I've watched it---this aint anything new and I didn't just fall out of the watermelon truck. If Obama is down with Diebold , I could give a rats ass.

But it will make them able to ignore the facts for a short while longer. Which is why plenty of the GOP have ignored it up until this point. Because it's gone in THEIR favor.

If it has, why should they bitch if the losers don't have enough balls to do it.

It's like I said though, they'd have to take on EACH supervisor of Elections.... each one has a different way of doing things. Do you HONESTLY think they could do that? c'mon dillo you're not an idiot not matter much you play one on tv.

I never said Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi on this board had spines. I've in fact said the opposite since they have even refused to look at the idea of impeaching both Bush and Cheney.

That's why I like Barack Obama running for President, the more time goes on the more he's willing to speak out against such BS.

Well can't Obama inspire them to get off their asses? Why do the democrats sit there and take it like victims ?

No the Washington Post and Diebold did that -----

More seriously, all the glitches (or 98% anyway) favor republicans, the machines are owned by republicans, were lobbied for by Abramoff (a convicted felon of a republican), the votes are tallied by republicans, the HAVA legislation was drafted by a republican, and Diebold (republican owned and operated) now tells us that the code in operation for the past ten years drops votes in heavily populated districts, ie districts that in general tend to lean democrat.

Republicans are certainly free to complain too, as are people in the middle and third party leaners.

But everything that comes out about these machines is smarmy for republicans.

Conyers is the dem in michigan that has worked on it.

We need a new HAVA. There actually was a civil rights groups/fed meeting yesterday on making sure the vote is secure. The meeting went far beyond concerns with electronic machines. The civil rights groups were not pleased with the results of the meeting. The QA part was only 15 minutes or so, and the decision to have a fed at every voting precinct could be seen as intimidation.

The meetings today are part of the Department's continuing effort under the Ballot Access and Voting Integrity Initiative, which was established in October 2002 to expand efforts to address election crimes and voting rights violations. The two overarching goals of the initiative are to ensure fair voting access and to protect the integrity of the election process.
