Parents are outraged because they say they’re being restricted from accompanying their sick children to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Wednesday because first lady Michelle Obama is visiting – and security measures prohibit both parents from escorting the little patients to medical appointments.

A woman named Angie Rouse Green posted the following message to Facebook Tuesday:

“RANT: I am LIVID!!!!!! I just got a phone call from a St Jude mom whose son is battling a brain tumor. … Tomorrow, this little boy has his MRI. The results come after. His mom was told that she cannot bring her husband with her to get the MRI results!

“Why you ask?? Well, because the first lady and her entourage will be in the hospital tomorrow for, I assume, a photo shoot and Secret Service has pretty much shut down to bare necessity our hospital. Only one person allowed per patient, no social media in hospital, no photos in hospital, cars will be towed in garage, more than one person with patient will be turned away at the gate by Secret Service!”

According to a local news source, however, St. Jude spokespeople said that the First Lady did not simply decide on her own to show up at the hospital for a "photo shoot" — they had specifically invited her to visit. In addition, parents of patients received letters in advance advising them of Mrs. Obama's impending visit and the temporary one-parent restriction that would be in effect for the duration of her appearance, and the hospital offered to make exceptions to the security protocol when
necessary.

She was INVITED to the hospital, and the patents and parents had plenty of notice.

So some really sick kids might get a passing view,without their parents by them,yep that's a real opportunity,these kids are there because they are SICK,some very very sick,to off handily brush that fact off speak volumes about your character.

This is a hospital for very sick kids its not an amusement park,some of those kids won't see their parent many more times.try being a human instead of a tool.

Meeting the 1st lady and the president isn't as big a deal,unless your a fluffer.they both jam popcorn into their mouths and wipe thier hands on their cloth like many others they are just people.

Not an amusement park......or a dance club......
