If you actually "thought" that the proposed "repeal and replace" of the ACA was better policy for Americans, just read what Grassley's statement was on this issue.

"You know, I could maybe give you 10 reasons why this bill shouldn't be considered, But Republicans campaigned on this so often that you have a responsibility to carry out what you said in the campaign. That's pretty much as much of a reason as the substance of the bill."

In other words, to cover the collective asses of republicans running in the midterms, SOMETHING better be done to replace the ACA, regardless whether it is good policy or not. Hypocrisy much?

This is nothing but red meat to the rabid dogs. They are only worried about the people who have it. If you are struggling, their message is drop dead. Jack Kemp once said that Republicans have to be more than the part of "no". Ronald Reagan agreed to support Jack Kemp's plan to cut taxes. Heritage, before it was corrupted by DeMint, came up with conservative solutions to problems. Heritage's healthcare plan included a mandate and refundable tax credits. Now they complain about it. Too many people in this country do not have access to healthcare coverage. Obamacare did help some but Republicans want to roll this back.

More theater for the rubes. The GOP repealed all or parts of ObamaCare 60 times, and the rubes fell for it EVERY time.

So what's one more circle jerk. The rubes love this shit. They eat shit with gusto. Mmm, caviar!

And their propagandists will blame the Mexicans for not being able to keep their promise rather than ever admit it was all a massive hoax.

If this bill passes (unlikely, btw) let's wait until Trump cultists find out that they've been royally screwed too......No wonder republicans are counting on this bill (were it to pass) to take effect AFTER the midterms.
