Threats of Impeachment have become so boring & lame. The Left/Democrats threatened to Impeach Bush every day of the week for eight straight years. I see no valid justification for Impeaching Obama at this point. I disagree with his policies vehemently,but that doesn't justify Impeachment. Just give him and Democrats the boot in 2012. I'd rather spend my time working hard on that.

Impeaching President Barack Obama “needs to happen,” Rep. Michael Burgess (R-Texas) told a local tea party group, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Tuesday.

Burgess spoke, the paper said, in response to an attendee’s suggestion that the GOP-controlled House use impeachment to stop Obama from “pushing his agenda.”

“It needs to happen, and I agree with you it would tie things up,” Burgess reportedly responded. “No question about that.”

When the Star-Telegram’s reporter asked Burgess about the comment, he said the House needs to do what it can to stop the president.

“We need to tie things up,” Burgess said. “The longer we allow the damage to continue unchecked, the worse things are going to be for us.”

So according to Burgess, we need to impeach President Obama in order to stop him from pushing his agenda.

I wonder how many people here would agree. Time for a poll I think.

How exactly does "Obamacare" trash the Constitution?

Fill in your post with actual clauses.

Because government does not have the suthority to create commerce and then force citizens to buy it, which Obamacare is in clear violation of.

So under this interpretation of the clause the government can't:

-Force professions like Doctors and Lawyers to obtain licenses.

-Force any licensing whatsoever.

Clarify please.

-Use tax payer money to purchase goods and services from private enterprise.

What's this have to do with forcing citizens to buy a product?

-Require that any private enterprise carry insurance.

States can enforce this under a state constitution, Federal Government cannot. If you dont like your state because of this, you can move to one that doesn't. You cannot however escape the federal government, which is why the commerce clause was not designed to allow the Feds to enforce such bullshit on the people.

-Require that citizens carry insurance to operate vehicles.

Again, this is a states issue, not a federal one. If you dont own a vehicle, can they still force you to buy auto insurance? No they cannot.

And it may very well be in conflict with the patent clause of the Constitution.

Why is the GOP such bad sports?? They hated Clinton's guts and tried to impeach him for a ridiculous reason. They took the election away from Gore, now they want to impeach Obama. What is their friggin' problem???

From a liberal perspective impeaching Clinton for lying was madness. He was just doin' what come naturally.

I cannot speak for all liberals. But my take is that this never would have happened to a Republican president. Clinton was really put on the spot and so he lied. The whole episode was really vicious behavior on the part of the GOP. They should remain ashamed.
