I have always wished we were more like some european nations that closely moniter their borders,,,we all know that illegals are the primary reason we are in this mess. we keep printing and printing money to pay for their well being, and here we are in 2011 making the wages we were in 1990. Thanks alot!

The deficit was created by massive deficits resulting from the tax cuts that occured under the Reagan, GHW Bush and GW Bush Administrations. The theory was that the amount of federal revenue lost to tax cuts would be more than offset by stimulating economic growth - the only problem was that it never happened!

Under Ronald Reagan, the federal debt/GDP ratio went from 32.5% to 53.1%.

Under GHW Bush, the federal debt/GDP ratio went from 53.1% to 66.1%.

Under GW Bush, the federal debt/GDP ratio went from 56.4% to 84.2%.
