If Obama wiretapped Trump, can we retroactively impeach him?

We can't remove him from office, but we could strip him of all the benefits ex-Presidents enjoy: Secret Service protection, cushy retirement benefits, and maybe even civil suits to strip him of his assets and any royalties he earns writing his new book.

Obama admin surveilling Trump compared to Watergate. But this time, instead of breaking the story, Washington Post is part of the cover-up.

If true, this will break Obama's legacy. He will be remembered as a disgraced former President.

Well, first you have to prove that such a thing happened. And prove it was not a FISA warrant, which the President would not have had anything to with. Right now, all you have is the tweets of a known serial liar.

And if it is not true, as most likely, then you can stick a fork in the present President, he is done. In fact, you may even see him removed by the first application of the 25th Amendment. And that would be done by the GOP.

Well, drumpf DID say he "knew" Obama had 'tapped his wires". Since he has refused an actual investigation, it must just as he said - he has actual proof.

Surely he will be making that public.
Just any day now.

After all, there is absolutely NO reason why he would keep that to himself.

Right?

Trump isn't going anywhere. He will serve his full first term, and then he will get re-elected and serve a second term. Your talk of impeaching him is left-wing masturbation fantasy.

A president cannot order wire taps, for the millionth time.

The wikileaks thing has clearly the marks of a Russian intel operation, and that tells us the Russians have Trump in their pocket.

It will be the GOP that either removes him with the 25th Amendment, or by impeachment. The Dems don't have the numbers to do that. It will be done for the same reason that Goldwater explained to Nixon why he had to resign.

I think impeachment is moot now. Sanctioning him by enacting a law to censure him and strip him of benefits may be an unconstitutional bill of attainer.

It's very much like Watergate although they didn't manage to keep Trump out. Washington Post is owned by the CEO of Amazon and he was also reported to have become a business partner with Hillary Clinton some years ago on a certain venture. There was no question that he was actively supporting Hillary Clinton in the election. The motive is certainly there for their refusal to report the story.

Obama can not simply order a wire tap...sheesh! Ignorance sure is bliss, eh?

IF there was a wire tap on Trump, that would mean the Justice Department, through their investigative team, the FBI, FOUND PROBABLE CAUSE that Trump WAS likely committing a crime, or tied up in foreign espionage.... And the Judge in the FISA COURT agreed.

You better be PRAYING there was NO FISA warrant to tap Trump's phones, cuz if there were, it means he is involved with, something illegal.

What an inane question. An out of office president can be impeached only in the general sense of the word. As a proceeding conducted by Congress to unseat a president, no, Obama cannot be impeached.

If he ends up behind bars he won't need the Secret Service. They can put him in solitary confinement and save the taxpayers some money.

Only a moron would believe Trump the pathological LIAR.

Wouldn't that be a case of divine justice?
