Republicans would have vowed to repeal it knowing that their base won't care what they end up actually doing.

Republicans would have vowed to repeal it knowing that their base won't care what they end up actually doing.

Republicans ran on a platform of repealing the ACA, and that's what they damned well better do, or face the consequences that we will vote them out and vote in someone more conservative.

It couldn't pass because Dems don't have the majority. They pushed this because the Repubs keep failing so they needed cover on a vote that would do nothing.
