First, it would behoove the R to learn what a "community organizer" actually does and why it has always been so important to every real American who values our Constitutional right to vote. Look it up ...

It was those skills, as well as his enormous accomplishments, that got President Obama re-elected.

Not only didn't the GObP/pubpots not have a record to run on (because they have not done one damn thing for their country for more years than most can remember), they had absolutely no interest in connecting with actual human beings. They made it clear that their campaigns were motivated by their plans to soak the working class for more money. That's why they had nothing of interest happening on the ground but lots happening at the glitzy, big money fund raisers. That's why Mittens went to the Olympics in London - to meet with Big Money - and its why he insulted the little people while he was there.

Anybody think the Rs learn from this fiasco that we laughingly call the Repub Election Strategy of hating and insulting your constituents and then being surprised that they didn't vote for you?

Did you ever look at Obama's record as a community organizer? His first project was to bring manufacturing jobs back to the Rosewood area of Chicago.

He failed.

He then tried to organize area churches in order to help the community, but he didn't belong to a church himself.

He failed.

He then choreographed a drive to get a Mayor's Office of employment and Training to open near the Altgeld Housing project. He carefully laid out the reasons for having an office in the area, and told others what they should say in order to get one moved there for a meeting with the planners.

He succeeded.

He then tried to organize community protests to get the Chicago Housing Authority to test Altgeld for asbestos after someone noticed that they were wearing hazardous material suits while renovating the office. Before he could get that off the ground CHA announced they would be testing for asbestos, and removing it if it was found, as required by both state and federal law. They also promised to attend a meeting with the residents. that meeting was a fiasco because the woman Obama chose to ask the questions of the director of CHA that showed up never let him have the microphone, and he eventually left without getting a chance to answer any questions. Obama blamed the director of CHA claiming he egged the crowd on.

Not sure if that is a success or failure, but he did see a problem, and try to figure out how to get others involved. He just chose idiots to do the actual work. I do know he wanted to avoid the confrontation that occurred, and that he quit community organizing right after that and went to law school.
