I agree with Joe Scarborough

The Catholic Church is one of the three great evils in the world.

Along with Islam and the Republican Party.

I sincerely hope you have need of our services one day. We'll see how fast you change your tune. Chances are someone you know has been treated in one of our hospitals, or received help from one of our charities, or been funded through school through one of our programs.... We're kind of like Nestle... it's hard to avoid our services.

WHY don't you just admit that your fight belongs in the purview of that they are based in religion, and YOU can't tolerate religion?

Let us get down to brass tacks here and dispense with the bullsqueeze you are dishing out to say it? :eusa_hand:

Clearly, the issue is because we are a religion. There was no howling and insisting on 'compromise' with the big bad evil corporations... nope, they got waivers... and they were only interested in the cost.... we have a moral objection.... so no waiver for us... therefore this is a war on the Catholic Church.
First they came for the Catholics...ad infinitum...

Next target is...?
They would love to fine the GOP for not having 14% African-American membership.

Your 'principles' this country does not need.

Your President will lose this fight though - in that, you are absolutely correct.

And, negged for the asinine whine about pedophiles... sign of a lost argument... start bitching about something completely irrelevant. So, fuck off.

I've never been negged for disapproving of pedophilia. Says alot about your morals.

I've never had to explain a neg for the stupid... but I will. You didn't get negged for disapproving of it. You got negged for raising it to deflect attention.... the topic is not pedophilia.

I do apologize thought... I had forgotten how desperate liberals like to misrepresent the truth.

When the Catholic Church is the topic, the topic is always pedophilia.

Shall I make it more 'topical'? Apparently it's okay for priests to fuck children,

as long as they DON"T use a condom...

Party crasher.
Get outta here moron...What NO Chart?

You belong to a credit union.

You are a socialist!
Translation: "I, Chris am an Idiot and lost, therefore I deflect..."

Where's your chart on this subject? You seem to pull one out of your ass no matter the topic...and CG is correct...perhaps YOU will need the service one day, or know someone that has, and won't your feel stupid for your bigotry?

*Moron*

If churches can't conduct businesses according to US law, then they should stick to the non-business realm of organized religion.

So what happened to that "Separation of church and state" that you like to spout off about? Does it only work they way you say, or is it absolute?

My position IS separation of church and state. Giving a particular church's businesses special exemptions from the law of the land based on some peculiar dogma of that Church is clearly a violation of separation.

What part of "or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" is so damned hard for you to grasp?

Good to see you're using rational thought.... not.

You are dismissed.

But doesn't this thread have to do with CONTRACEPTION?

No, it has to do with me agreeing with Scarorough when he said if you don't like what the Catholic Church teaches don't work for them. That is called choice, something you supposedly support, unless the choice is something you do not like.

The Constitution seems to have lost its importance these days.... but I am pleased to see that Obama admits that it's getting in his way of 'fundamentally transforming' our country.

God Bless the Founders! Those dudes rocked!

No laws in a church hospital?

He clearly didn't say that. Now you're just twisting in the wind because you know you're losing this argument.

No one's come close to refuting anything I've said.

Besides, this does not require the Church to buy contraception for employees. It only makes contraception available as part of an employee's compensation for work.

Why does the Church pay its employees MONEY, when they can use that MONEY to buy contraceptives, or pay for an abortion for that matter?

What is the difference?

I find it difficult to refute insanity, I find myself forced to simply point at it and say "That's insane."

No one has refuted the basic principle that if you run a business in this country, you do not get to pick and choose which laws you will or will not comply with according to what religious beliefs you happen to have.

There's no reason religions should get a pass from these intrusive laws. Freedom of religion isn't about religions getting special treatment - it's about keeping government out of the business of endorsing, or condemning, any particular religions. It doesn't mean churches don't have to follow the law.

Well, yea... I struggled with the lack of intellect of that one.

To call NYCompletelyStupid a fucking idiot seems a tad polite. That statement is so completely moronic that it's quite hard to respond.

The truth is quite the opposite. Some of the country's best hospitals are run by the Catholic Church. :eusa_angel:

I have never been in a Catholic Hospital that scared me, I have been in government run hospitals that had metal detectors and armed guards.

The question was are non-profits not subject to the same sets of rules that for-profit hospitals are,

simply because they're non-profit?

That's yes or no, or shut up.

If we were in court I would object to the question on the grounds that it has been asked and answered, and the judge would rule in my favor. Since we aren't, all I can do is ignore your idiocy.

So? Are non-profit hospitals exempt from regulations regarding medical practices, licensing, etc., just because they're non-profit? Is a credit union exempt from regulations regarding sound banking practices just because it's non-profit?

Have I missed something? When did they pass the amendment guaranteeing freedom of banking?

The idiot California Girl claims that non-profit businesses don't have to comply with business/labor law because they're not actually businesses. I know, it's retarded, but take it up with her.

I was NOT agreeing with you, you fool. Religion is protected from government interference, not banks. Please try to keep up.

And that in of itself is what WE defend.

That has never applied to running a business. Exercising religious freedom has always been subject to the law. You can't pick and choose which laws you want to obey or not obey

by hiding behind your dogma.
