OPINION (Daily Star) – Bizaree footage showing hundreds of bees dead on the floor surrounding what appeared to be two 5G towers has gone viral. The superfast broadband has sparked controversy since rolling out this year, with health experts claiming it could have serious side effects on humans. And there are now claims online that bees could also be affected after a video went viral. The clip – taken in Sierra Madre, California – shows the lifeless bodies of the bees lying on the ground.

Bees are having all kinds of problems. We lose the bees, we're dead meat as a species.

Take down the towers. Don't put them back up until all health concerns are addressed.
Our obsession with mobile communication devices is sick enough already.

PETA used to be pretty active to the point where billboards in the Outer Banks of N.C. advised fishermen that "fish have feelings" but the organization seems unconcerned that Obama gave the wind industry a pass for killing migratory birds including endangered species.

Honeybees aren’t even indigenous to North America. They often die en masses because they are trucked around the country during the year to pollinate various crops, and are exposed to many different pesticides, and are given drugs to stay alive.

No. We aren’t... loads of other insects also pollinate plants. It would suck to lose the bees. And it would change things for sure. But it wouldn’t be an extinction event for humans...

Populations could not be sustained. There would be a domino species collapse.

Perhaps not total extinction, but dead meat nonetheless.

Pre-Cro Magnon society is of no interest to me beyond the movie versions.

WE had windmills before Obama. There are regulations in place to reduce these kills. Don't be so fucking stupid to think that the fossil fuel industry does not kill wildlife including endangered species. Roads kill them, electric transmission lines kill them, buildings kill them. pets kill then.

But hey blame it on windmills.
