How's That Hope n Change Working Out?

Speaking of failing memories, whatever happened to "pass this bloated spend-a-thon bill NOW, and we'll keep unemployment below 8%"?

:eusa_whistle:

You forget that the bill he was talking about at the time was bigger than the one that got passed.

They trimmed it down to please the Rs who still capped on it and then posed for photo shots handing out big checks.
I forget nothing, including the following zillion dollar pork-laden omnibus spending bill.

Truth be told, Obamazombies like you are getting worse than the Bushbots ever could've hoped to be.

And History shows what Hoovers too little too late actions provided the country.

Hoovers sucked even back then.

Barry is now working on part 2, as if he will get that shit passed with the november elections coming and no filibusterproof majority anymore.

Lets forget the republican pushed TARP?
Or the Bush tax rebates?
Stupidly, you believe the "bush rebates" and even the Obama stimulus ones, were tax cuts. They were not. The tax tables weren't changed, which means when you file your taxes you're paying BACK that "cut."

Great progressive shell game.

You are paying back a portion of that rebate. You pay back whatever you percentage of tax works out to be for you. For many it is none since they pay no taxes anyway.

Oh, so the logic is had they just spent MORE.... The liberal answer to everything.. SPEND MORE. You libs must be the dipshits I keep reading about who can't make their mortgage payments so they run up $20,000 in cc debt. Guess this explains CA, MI, PA, NY, etc.
What asshats.

Which totally belies the "95% of Americans got a tax cut" mantra.

Correct?

Yes.

Those who don't make enough money to be required to pay income tax got what's basically called, "welfare" not a "tax cut."

Not right.

You got the difference between the amount of the rebate minus the percentage of tax you pay on it the next year as a tax cut.

EXACTLY. And that number is getting higher.. it is unsustainable. Pretty soon you're going to have 20% of the poulation footing the bill for 80% and the 80% will still be crying for welfare checks.

History shows that spending in a recession improves the economy.

You see when money enters the economy it doesnt first check to see where the money comes from.

And the way out of that is to provide a livable wage for everyone huh?

Actually we are pretty mujch down to around 20% of the people providing 99% of the support for our govt.
I checked it out and once you deduct the retirees, disabled, college students, stay at home mon=ms, etc the number is amazingly low as to how few people are actually supporting our country.

Prime reason for a flat income tax with no exemptions or deductions on ALL personal income.

Seems kinda funny that 47% of that 95% don't pay taxes yet got a rebate.

Kinda Funny how that math works doncha know??

Which worked for FDR in the GD.

You see there was a year the republicans talked him into backing off and trying to balence the budget and the economy started tanking. The next year he passed more stimulus and guess what happened? The economy sprouted again.

You see stimulus works and history proves it which is why you guys beat up on education all the time.

Wrong.

The tables stayed the same, therefore you STILL owe the same in taxes. There is NO cut.

Millions of people are finding this out, as they do their taxes.

The only reason the GD ended was because WWII came along. Jeeze. Read a little history.
