How should the GOP change?

After losing to Obama.......twice, what should the GOP change if anything or have they been successfully stereotyped as "for the rich man" and are toast no matter what they do?
Nominate a Conservative candidate next time?

GOP don't care. You have to understand this. Their wives want to go to parties in Washington.

Daughters. Debutante balls. Are you getting my drift? All they care about once they get there is to be in the Beltway and stay in the Beltway.

The GOP needs to kick out it's extremists, embrace education and embrace homosexuals.

The biggest problem is the Republicans utterly covet ignorance and like to create their own facts. Unfortuately for them, the majority of Americans aren't dumb enough to fall for these things. Especially with how plugged in and informed the younger generations are. The GOP needs to cut out all the false fact creation and lying. This election hands down showed that tactic will not work.

The GOP needs to get a coherent logicial plan together that would benefit the majority of Americans instead of doubling talking to the middle class while serving only the rich. I think the biggest problem Romney had aside from being a sociopath is that he didn't have a tangible plan. Most of the Republican platform was an idea that was a paragraph or two that was supposedly going to happen by magic. A lot of their politics make no sense and they need to get their political game to have integrity again.

Also, I think it makes complete sense for the GOP and Homosexuals to merge in the future. Homosexual homes are arguably the most powerful in the nation as they're two adult working males with no children. Also the gay community is one of the most powerful in the nation. If a couple of Jackie Robinson-Esque openly gay politicians come up in the Republican party in the next decade, that would instantly give their party new life. Also, I think if gay people were given the respect of normal people in society a lot of gay men would stray towards right wing politics.

Overall though the Republicans will largely be a clusterfuck now and for the foreseeable future as their old blood and the corporate interests that own the party are so far out of touch with mainstream America that they will continue to be utterly fake and not a realistic choice. The fear of science, reality, minorities or progress that the Republicans have exhibited over the last decade is will continue to minimize that party for the next generation or two. Especially since my generation will likely never forget or forgive for Bush 2.

The GOP should abandon their habit of going further to the right whenever they lose an election. The GOP might of won had they been more mainstream instead of extreme, they should move closer to the center.

No and this is for true. Romney at the end made himself a white Obama. That's all. So people voted for the devil you know.

stop nominating moderate pussies.

Do you not realize the hard right teabagger pieces of shit got their asses handed to them on election night? But keep with that mindset, it will assure nothing but win after win for the democrats

Don't see how when they lost only 9 seats out of the 87, with perhaps only 8, on the out come of Allen West, still up for grabs.
The majority have kept their seats and now they have become sophomores.
The Dems are the ones getting rid of conservative representatives.
Just keep electing the far left for your party and see how long you last.

Lost by a narrow margin of 2%.
The GOP did change, in 2010 by electing 87 of the Tea Party.
It's the other half of this country that does not want to change from big Government and get back to our Constitutional form of a smaller government and being fiscally responsible.

Well that would make sense if the GOP had made no increase in government and had no increase in national debt in their previous presidency ...

It would be like preaching that pre-marriage sex is forbidden and having yout own teenage daughter being pregnant ... Or like a political party that is preaching marriage while your party representatives are visiting prostitutes ... (I ll admit that that first one was a blow below the belt, but I bet if Hillary Clinton her daughter was pregnant during teenage years there would not be such a thing as republican decency for the family)

It s all good to say what you are, but only what you do proves what you really are.

Let s show you what I mean:

Bush promised to get Bin Laden: He didn't
Bush promised he d find WMDS: He didn't

Obama promised to go after bin laden: He got him
Obama promised to get out of Iraq: He did

All the GOP needs to do is to learn how to get more leeches to vote for them. It's just that simple.

Then the Dem's should start electing more mainstream too and stop electing the far left.

People like Mourdock's seat was a long locked (R) that was lost because of his right wing insanity.
Akin, hard right nutcase, lost
West, hard right nutcase, lost
The new supposed teaparty darling mia love, lost

Even Bachmann just barely squeaked by a win.

Virtually every "heavy hitter" teabagger got their asses handed to them in embarrassing losses, that would have been easy (R) wins if a sane candidate was in their place.

1. Drop abortion as a plank in ANY platform
2. Stop endorsing immigration reform (aka amnesty)
3. Take off the gloves when campaigning
4. Get rid of the Karl Roves, etc.
5. Stop trying to be Democrat lite.

1. Abortion should be States' Rights issue.
2. Wrong. Hispanics are the fastest growing demographic.
3. OK to a degree (e.g., Benghazi).
4. ---
5. See #3 above.

Open borders is a death sentence. Reform? Fine. Amnesty? No.

There was no Tea Party members during the previous Presidency.
The GOP lost in 2008 becasue of their over spending.
Both parties are hooked on over spending.
Both parties have corruption.

After 4 more years of ever-excellerated Washington gridlock suck, Rubio will win handily.

No worries.

Yes, because blocking the whole country is what people voted for of course. They want their politicians to accomplish nothing, that is how the US got the first man on the moon by blocking government institutions ... oh wait :eusa_boohoo:

How sad, everything seems to be possible in the fantasy world of the GOP atm. You can't seriously believe you ll get rewarded for accomplishing nothing

People knew what the re-elected Republicans in the House stood for.

Agree or disagree, shitstain?

No and this is for true. Romney at the end made himself a white Obama. That's all. So people voted for the devil you know.

When Romney moved closer to the center he almost closed the gap. When he was "Mitt the hard rightwinger", he floundered and made little to no gains.

Stop focusing heavily on social issues... it is that simple... keep with the economy, slashing the budget and lowering the overall tax burden

Republicans did that this election; Democrats did not. Kind of throws that rhetoric out the window.

Mitt's biggest problem was that he is a sociopath who was literally flip-flopping on a daily basis and would say anything he thought would get him votes. I really think a moderate conservative who has integrity in the view of the public could be the guy in the GOP who's could be most in touch with the mainstream.
