OK so THIS is how my Alma Mater, Rice University, gets into the news:
As a joke in a political commentary that has nothing to do with anything. But hey, all publicity is good, right?

Existentialist Football Cheer, from
my college days over 25 years ago:

"We're from Rice!
Ain't that Nice!
Who are you?
Do you know?"

You will be in the news this weekend ..."Rice trounced by the Aggies "

Yes, our traditional Aggie cheer whenever we lost football games was:
"That's alright! That's okay!
You're gonna work for us someday!"

The running joke is that Rice Architects learn to design castles in the sky.
And have to hire Aggies to figure out the engineering to support them!

BTW I just found this photo while trying to track down the math genius
who tutored me so I could pass and graduate in 1988, John Steinke:
UT Health Science Center The News

This guy had published 4 math books before he was a freshman.
His GPA was something like 4.29 since you could get 4.33 for an A+

I still want to thank him personally, who won't even remember me.
I was that girl who kept bothering him for help while he was working the lunch line.

I don't remember my math either. I would never have gotten through school
without that extra help. I think the whole thing was a gift, that I have yet to earn.
