How many seats will the Rep/Tea Party pick up in the House?

I'm tired of predicting things I don't know.

I'd rather focus on earning those seats and see the results when we recieve them.

Iow, you're not all that confident that the teaparty running against a Democrat might be a whole different animal than running against Rs in the primaries?

No, in other words there is alot going to happen between now and then and pretending that everyone is going to win based solely on an idealogical basis seems like a pretty silly thing to do.

And no, I don't know that they will beat the Democrats. I pray that they do. But I don't know anything and I think being overconfident will cause us to fall.

But I don't think the solution to the nation is found in it's politicians. I think it's found in the people.

Unfortunately the people can and have been duped.

I don't think gridlock is a good thing in our Congress but I do think stopping this insane socialist agenda of the Owe Bama administration would be a very good thing. I would like to see that all of the stupid politicians ejected from Congress but if we did that there would be nobody there except the janitors and the Congressional Aids. I do hope that every incumbent is given his or her walking papers. I would like that alot. Our country is in deep trouble and we don't need just Republicans and Democrats solving the problem. We need everybody with a decent, realist, sane idea to step up and run for office regardless of the party that they label themselves with. There has been far too much stupidity in Washington in the last 20 years. It's time for some realistic change.

Gridlock sounds just fine to me for a couple of years.

In 2012, we'll put it back in gear and get on down the road.

the best you can hope for is gridlock. the GOP isn't going to get veto-proof majorities, and obama isn't going anywhere for two years.

Conservatives don't need veto-proof majorities. All they need is enough to put Obama in a position of having to do everything on his own, and he'll fuck it up alone.

And if current polls are even remotely accurate, the right already has that position.

they absolutely need veto-proof majorities to undo much of what has passed over the last two years. otherwise, obama's veto pen is going to be busy and we'll simply have gridlock. i don't expect obama to bend like clinton, nor do i expect the GOP to have a similar '94 mandate.

besides, it's irrelevant because the senate is going to stay in reid's control anyway.

no polls confirm or even hint at a senate majority. and even the most generous extrapolation of house results from generic balloting doesn't give a significant majority in the lower chamber.

Like I said, I'll take gridlock until 2012. Obama needs the lame duck status to work on that hideous golf swing anyway. We'd be doing EVERYONE a favor if we just stick our thumbs up our asses for two years until we can get some real people in place to get things done, instead of the corrupt bastards we have running the store now.
