"How many sexes (not genders) are there?"

Surprisingly, even to me, at least 6.

The 6 Most Common Biological Sexes in Humans

"The Six Most Common Karyotypes

The six biological karyotype sexes that do not result in death to the fetus are:

* X – Roughly 1 in 2,000 to 1 in 5,000 people (Turner’s )
* XX – Most common form of female
* XXY – Roughly 1 in 500 to 1 in 1,000 people (Klinefelter)
* XY – Most common form of male
* XYY – Roughly 1 out of 1,000 people
* XXXY – Roughly 1 in 18,000 to 1 in 50,000 births"

Gee, other than keryotypes I wonder if the person(s) that came up with this "idea" ever took Biology. The Gender "definition" is obviously the result of a Sociologist with too much time on his or her hands.........

First, we would need to agree on definition of "gender" vs. "sex". I'll gladly lead with dictionary definitions. Clear definitions might facilitate better communication.
Gender: either of the two divisions, designated male and female,by which most organisms are classified on the basis of their reproductive organs and function.
Sex:sexual activity or the sexual urge or instinct manifested as behavior.

Something that I realized when hearing someone talking about their "internal" gender identity, is that I've never felt a strong feeling in the matter at all. I've always just identified as an individual, and not as a group. Maybe it's just the way I was raised... or maybe it is just that I live mostly in my neocortex *shrugs*
