How many deaths are necessary before something should be banned?

If you get them in a corner, they'll slip out. Circular arguments. All of them designed to make sure you don't pass any common sense gun legislation. Yesterday we determined that there was something we could do that would lower the number of gun murders we have in this country every year but because that regulation wasn't a silver bullet that would stop criminals who steal guns, it shouldn't be done. And when we point out this argument is nonsense, they just move on to another point, and eventually back to this one, circle, circle, circle.

I believe besides abortion, this issue is costing Republicans with young people.
when you come up with something thats common sense that a criminal will abide by you let us know,,
so far all you have effects just law abiding people that would never harm an innocent person,,

Introducing the MCX-SPEAR, the civilian version of the U.S. Army’s new XM7 rifle. The MCX-SPEAR is available in 7.62x51 and coming soon in 277 SIG Fury. The next generation has arrived. The MCX-SPEAR by SIG SAUER.

well its not black and scary,,

As long as they don't tax guns in general at a rate different than other taxable items, it does not violate the Constitution. Let's say you tried to tax guns at a 20% sales tax. That would not fly if everything else was a lower rate.
But machine guns and short barreled shot guns are “taxed at a different rate”

Hmmmm

Because you anti-gunners keep getting away with violating the Constitution.....

Mine is on order.

Since Heller, lower courts have upheld a wide range of gun laws as constitutional, including: Laws restricting the concealed and open carry of loaded guns in public. Bans on assault weapons, large capacity magazines, and silencers.

Yes, lower Courts have consistently violated the COTUS.

That's why Bruen happened.

And now SCOTUS is FORCING the lower Courts to abide by their rulings.

Funny how you leave that out.

Dishonest much, or all of the time?

And those courts are violating the Constitution as they do it......they are ignoring the Supreme Court, hoping that the democrats will win in 2024 and replace Thomas and Alito with marxist, anti-gun extremists.....since they know it takes a long time for cases to reach the Supreme Court.

But not to many places do it, particularly with CCP. I can drive from Va to the border of CA at NV or AZ and legally carry a concealed weapon. I can also go all the way to FL.

Here, all the yellow and green states:

Semi auto weapons were far less available in 1960.

And what is “special” about the .556/.223 round is the power it has compared to almost no recoil in the weapons that use it
Are you kidding? M-1 Carbines, M-1 Garands, BARs (the Browning hunting rifle) were all available by mail order. Those are all semi-auto rifles and the BAR and Garands were chambered for rounds far deadlier than the .223/5.56mm round used in the AR-15. You could buy any number of semi-auto pistols via mail order.

So does the .30 caliber carbine round and I don't see you screaming about banning it. Why aren't you screaming about banning the mini-14? It fires both the .223/5.56m round and the more powerful 7.62x39 AK-47 round.
