Here we have another story of the police in Britain trying to deal with rising gun crime...the problem....their resources are stripped away to pay for their other social welfare programs....so violent crime, including gun crime is going through the roof.....
Police hope for more cash to tackle gun crime over fears "innocents could die"
The Government has told Merseyside’s top police and political figures that it will try to find more cash for the struggling force - amid fears a rise in gun crime could lead to “innocent deaths” on the streets.
A high level meeting was held this morning which saw several Merseyside MPs, Chief Constable Andy Cooke and Crime Commissioner Jane Kennedy calling for more urgent funding from Government Security Minister Ben Wallace.
----
Speaking after the meeting at the Home Office the Labour MP said: “It was a constructive meeting and the Minister understands the pressure that gun crime and shootings are placing on the police and communities.
“He also understands the excellent reputation Merseyside Police happens in dealing with gun issues when it is properly resourced.
“Now the Home Office, the Police and Crime Commissioner, the Chief Constable and will work together to find the extra resources as soon as possible to tackle gun crime on Merseyside.”
why are they tackling rising gun crime? Back in the 1990s Britain banned and confiscated guns....and nothing changed in their gun murder rates.....and now, their gun crime rates are going up..so you can bet eventually their criminals will get tired of just wounding and firing warning shots......their gun murder rate will go up....21 years after they banned guns from law abiding people.....and those people are defenseless in Britain...
