It seems some are able to stay in the current discussion then there is a majority the mod locks.

Thanks for the confusion because the post made by the MOD for everyone to post their trial hearing there doesn't really clarify if it's TRIAL ONLY articles or basically anything with the name KAVANAUGH or FORD in it.

I see a few articles that have been totally left alone not locked so which is it?

Good luck getting an answer to that. The mods on this site are the posters and moderators. Everyone else is either required to just make replies, but they can be merged or moved also, so there’s no real way to know what you can post, where you can post, how you can post, or what you can reply, where you can reply, or if you can reply.

So just post something or reply to a post, and move on, because it may or may not be there in a few minutes, and you may or may not be able to ever find it again anyway.

apparently key words right in front of you can't be deciphered " TRIAL HEARINGS" guess that went over your IQ level a bit.

There happens to be articles on Kavanaugh that have nothing to do with the hearing so braniac what's your IQ level tell you to do with that situation?

Did you read the first post in the link?

As we've done in the past for elections and hearings, there will ONE OFFICIAL thread for comments, opinions, updates on tomorrow's hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee..
OFFICIAL -- Kavanaugh Judiciary Committee Thread -- Thurs Sept 27th 2018

After closing, moving, or merging over 200 threads these past 5 days on the topic -- we're out of patience. Other threads will be closed. Repeat violators will be warned.

This thread will be OPENED by 10AM tomorrow morning. Maybe earlier. All threads between now and then will be merged and placed in the "Senate Judiciary Peanut Gallery" thread --- which will CLOSE when this thread opens. Use that one now -- if you can't wait.

The Kavanaugh Hearing Peanut Gallery..

DO NOT POST other threads on this until Friday. And those MAY still be subject to merge and warnings if folks are STILL not complying with using existing open threads on the topic.

Funny; and how many Quaaludes have you eaten today, so far?

Let me count them, oh wait I can't count them for you they must be laying on your table.

Each day since last Sunday, the Mod staff has merged a total of 180 threads into the Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed "Kavanaugh/Ford merges. It got to point where NO ONE (including mods) could even FIND listings for threads that were duplicated, already discussed, etc.

In situations like this hearing and for election nights and other events -- these "merges" and OFFICIAL threads are used. And because moderation's only real tool is to keep threads ON TOPIC, we allowed a WIDE BERTH for all facts, analysis, opinion on the whole DELUGE of allegations in ANY of those threads. So there was NO NEED for 200 threads with short comments that COULD BE comments in existing open threads.

Folks were not complying. Warnings started to get issued to folks opening 3 or 4 threads a DAY on this topic.

BECAUSE there's a wide lattitude for the "topical content" of ANY Kavanaugh accuser/event, there should be discussion. It's a Discussion Board. Not Twitter.

There are SOME THREADS that didn't make the "daily merges".. We have a protocol NOT to merge threads that are very long or mature. And perhaps, that's WHY they survived the merges. Those are the ones you seeing along with MANY that are STILL active since BEFORE the merges began. If it's active, find a convo you like and work from there.

For today -- Use ONLY the Official Kavanaugh Judiciary Hearing thread in Politics and read the Mod notes and messages at the top..

Thanks.
