Hillary Clinton's Illegal 'Server / E-mail - Bleach Bit Obstruction' scandal was the failed result of attempting to 'teach an old dog a new trick' ... or Hillary's failed attempt to adapt with the changing times.
Years ago, when Bill Clinton was President and Hillary Clinton was 1st Lady, e-mails and files were an ever bigger pain in the ass to steal / hide / destroy than today. Take Vince Foster's files, for example. Foster's files and documents were actually in hard copy in a filing cabinet. You could not hack his computer, look at his files, download / steal them, or just delete them with a few strokes of the keys on a keyboard. No, sireee.... To do this, you had to go old school. Hillary had her secretary cross a dead man's police-taped office, steal the files, and bring them upstairs to the Clinton's living quarters.
- Despite being asked about then and the Clintons swearing they had never seen the files....they (not all of them, you can bet) were found in the Clinton's living quarters in the WH. (Gee, how do you think THEY got THERE?!)
Years later Bill and Hillary were still honing their criminal skills...but remember, they were still just Arkansas rednecks ... but learning fast. It was at this time in her political climb that Hillary learned an extremely valuable lesson:
'The Freedom of Information Act and Federal Records Act - archiving your documents / info / work - Are NOT Your Friends.'
It turns pout that official information that could be very damaging to the Clinton's (HILLARY'S) future political ambitions had been submitted for archival....and Hillary wanted it GONE.
As mentioned above, once you submit information for Archival that information is no longer YOURS. It's 'out there'. Getting rid of THIS information was going to be more difficult than sending a Secretary to steal files out of a dead man's office there in the WH...so Hillary called one of their 'toady' underlings to do the dirty deed...
...and it went HORRIBLY wrong...for Clinton National Security Advisor SANDY BERGER:
Berger was caught STUFFING CLASSIFIED PAGES / INFORMATION DOWN HIS PANTS and attempting to smuggled them out of the archive.
Berger attempted to convince the FBI that it was ALL A 'MISTAKE', that he had been 'SLOPPY'.....
'Sandy Berger the former Clinton Administration National Security Advisor, said he made a "mistake" and was just "sloppy" when an FBI investigation revealed that he had stolen Top Secret memos and documents from the National Archives relating to the events surrounding al-Qaida attacks on America during the 1990s and in the year 2000. Archive security notified the FBI when they discovered documents missing, and saw Berger stuffing papers into his pants, socks, and a leather briefcase.'
The lessons she learned from these scandals were:
1) ILLEGAL PERSONAL SERVERS ARE THE WAY TO GO
--- If everything is on your own server YOU are in control.
2) NEVER ARCHIVE ANYTHING - THE FOI & FED RECORDS ACT IS FOR SUCKERS
--- Once you submit official documents for Archival, as per the FOIA and FR, they are 'out there' forever - no getting them back, no hiding them.
3) NEXT TIME YPOU ATTEMPT TO COMMIT OBSTRUCTION AND A HOST OF OTHER LAWS REGARDING THE DESTRUCTION OF CLASSIFIED DATA, 'MONEY IS NO OBJECT' - HIRE THE BEST
Using Bleach Bit, destroying files, destroying cell phones, etc....was the right idea. Hillary just didn't have very smart IT people. She should have hired retired / ex FBI experts...or jus called Comey right away and ask if he could send someone over to unofficially 'fix the problem.
