I missed palimpsest (something reused but close to original form), amanuensis (literary or artistic assistant), and calumny (an attempt to spoil someone else's reputation).

I've never heard any of those words even once in my life. And most of the rest I'd never use because I'd sound like an asshole. Asshole, by the way, would have been an acceptable answer to the question where it was an option IMO
