As it should be. Mark your calendars. Republicans will be doing the people's business next Wednesday.

House set to vote on healthcare repeal | Reuters

The House had been expected to act this week on the repeal bill, but the vote was postponed after a shooting spree in Arizona killed six people and critically wounded U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords.

"As the White House noted, it is important for Congress to get back to work, and to that end we will resume thoughtful consideration of the health care bill next week," said Brad Dayspring, a spokesman for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor.

I would think it would be a good thing to require healthcare providers to cover mental health care in light of this current tragedy.

Its in the bill

The coverage will help many people and keep the country safer than it previously was.

Perhaps this would be a good time to appoint a bipartisan commission to study the viability of a health plan during this economic crisis, what should be the priorities in such a plan and experts in the medical field to discuss what doctors need to approve such a plan.

There is so much to consider in such a plan, we need to be sure we are not taking away plans of those who have them, and avoiding adding premium increases. No more waivers for sections of the populations and touching only those who need the coverage. Not free, but on a sliding scale rate.

We need both sides to be involved. By the time it is worked out, we might be able to afford it and more of Congress would be willing to appeal the roughshod bill that was passed.

I'm not interested in Democrats solutions to health care. They made those known in the legislation they already passed, and were soundly defeated at the polls because of it.

Letting Democrats know they could be part of the process, unlike not letting the Republicans be part of the process last year just may help push the repeal through and obtain enough votes to override Obama's veto.

It has to be a bipartisan effort. Just as the last commission of 18, 14 must agree for it to go to a vote.

Why? They weren't bi partisan when they crammed it down America's throat.
