And Dimocrats could care less.

The acting Homeland Security secretary said on Tuesday that 90 percent of asylum seekers are missing their court dates after being released into the US.
Acting Secretary Kevin McAleenan told the Senate Judiciary Committee that a new pilot program resulted in thousands of families ditching their scheduled hearings, according to Fox News.
“We see too many cases where people are not showing up,” McAleenan said, referring to the program.
“Out of those 7,000 cases, 90 received final orders of removal in absentia, 90 percent.”
McAleenan said that the sample came from families crossing the border in recent months.
Customs and Border Protection have reported a surge of migrants at the border as a “full-blown emergency” caused 60,000 children to enter DHS custody in just the last 40 days.
Five migrant children have died while in CBP custody since December.
Democrats placed the blame on the Trump Administration and dysfunction at the department.
“In less than two and a half years, there have already been four heads of this department, we have before us an acting secretary who has been on the job for more than two months,” said Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.).
“We cannot face this crisis effectively with a revolving door policy in the leadership at the Department of Homeland Security.”
