Steven Mnuchin Ran a “Foreclosure Machine” and Other Fun Facts About Trump’s Treasury Shortlist
He was previously a Goldman Sachs partner. He ran OneWest for six years making around $200 million off foreclosures which kicked more than 36,000 families out of their homes.
Oh yea, Trump is going to make Wall Street pay. I wonder how many of those 36,000 were Republicans? I hope most. So they can fully get their votes worth. At one point, people marched on his Bel Air mansion.
Funny, here's a report on the same guy from Fox who presents a much rosier picture by leaving out so much information:
Trump to nominate Steven Mnuchin for Treasury Secretary, sources say
Trump also officially nominated Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga., as Health and Human Services Secretary. This guy was a leader in the movement to give employers the right to fire women for using birth control. Also, he wants to remove birth control from being subsidized by healthcare plans. But not Viagra. Remember, Republicans say birth control is a life style choice, but Viagra is for a medical condition.
Price, a former surgeon, supports the repeal of ObamaCare and has offered a replacement that would provide tax credits to subsidize the purchase of individual and family health insurance policies. His proposal would also allow insurers to sell policies across state line, boost incentives for health savings accounts, and create high-risk pools to help individuals afford coverage, while barring assistance for nearly all abortions.
USMB Republicans insist selling insurance across state lines is a fantastic idea. So you live in California, but buy insurance in New York. So you need an operation and your New York insurance drops your ass. What do you do? What can you do? Your insurance is in New York. 3,000 miles away. California State laws don't cover New York. You're fucked. That's it. That's the bottom line. That's why Republicans think this is a good idea. You've been paying all that lovely money for a policy, you get sick and get dropped. Nothing you can do. Funny huh?
He also wants to raise Medicare to 67. I hope they don't go after those already on the program. Who knows? Donald didn't drain the swamp, he hired it.
I really like this part from Fox:
Price also backs, as does Trump, a plan by House Republicans to sharply cut the Medicaid health program for the poor and disabled and turn it over to the states to run. Like Trump and most other Republicans, Price wants federal funding withdrawn from Planned Parenthood, which has come under attack for its practice of supplying tissue from aborted fetuses to medical researchers.
Yea, cut it for the disabled. Turn it over to GOP governors. That'll teach 'em to vote GOP. And look at that. Fox lied. Planned Parenthood doesn't supply tissue from aborted fetuses to medical researchers. Women having an abortion are approached so the aborted tissue could help those suffering certain diseases and to study to find cures for others that are suffering. The only money spent is to move the material. That doesn't come from Planned Parenthood and the women don't get paid.
Foreclosure, contraception, women's rights, cutting health care, Republicans have big plans.
Now about bringing those jobs back. Oh, that's right. They never left. They were automated. I wonder when Trump breaks the news the jobs aren't coming back?
