It's her opportunity to shore up support among progressives while beating back conservative opposition.

WASHINGTON -- The next two weeks will provide Hillary Clinton with two of her best chances yet to distinguish herself from her presidential primary opponents and put to rest lingering concern over the private email server she used while secretary of state.

The first chance comes Tuesday, when five Democratic candidates face off in Las Vegas for their first debate.

While the primary has been a polite affair so far, especially compared to the Republican race, the debate will be the first chance for voters to evaluate the candidates side by side. The Clinton campaign is focused on highlighting her progressive positions while also showing that she is the best-equipped to turn campaign proposals into governing realities.

The second test comes the following week, when Clinton will testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi. The appearance has long been viewed as an opportunity for her to lay out her side of the story and counter Republican lawmakers who risk the very real chance of overplaying their hand and appearing as if they're on a partisan hunt.

I look forward to watching both - especially the House hearing on Benghazi. How will she be treated? Will they treat her like they did Cecile Richards? We shall see.

Considering she has been in debates and testified before congress before, what makes you think this time will be any better than the other times she has failed?

Hillary is obviously the best candidate

Hillary is obviously the best candidate - because NaziCons hate her the most. Go Hillary!!!!!
She is the best candidate...the Libs can find to run! Despite about to go jail, libs think she's still better than an admitted Socialist party member...

Not a good time for the Right. The party which can't pick a speaker and preaches against spending has just wasted $Millions on Benghazi and emails.

How exactly do you expect us to pick a speaker before the vote? Or do you think there wont be one after the vote?

And since when is investigating crimes a waste of money?

I have been turned off by Hillary's email stuff and her not talking about it,maybe after watching the debate we will get some better info than what the people who don't want her in tries to claim is the truth.

I didn't like how she ignored it, this is why her polls went down. Maybe with her explaining things we may see the polls rise again.

Looking forward to the debate, do you know what channel?

It's scheduled for October 22, and I would guess it will be on several channels - including CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News.

Who is Hillary going to debate? Bernie Sanders isn't even a registered democrat and Joe Biden isn't a candidate. Will Hillary debate herself?

"CNN and the Democratic National Committee announced Thursday the network will host the first Democratic primary debate in Nevada on October 13. The exact location will be announced in the coming weeks."
