Ladies and gentlemen, the Hillary 2012 campaign is now underway.

Make no mistake, Mrs. Clinton is watching the political landscape with great interest, and yes, more understanding than is capable by Obama.

The Clinton machine has been idling, the tank is full, and the road looks far more clear than just a few short months ago.

She polls far higher than Obama, has done a very clever job of removing herself from the day to day perceptions of the Obama administration, and now with the added experience of Secretary of State in her resume, is poised to be the strongest candidate for 2012 - stronger than the current President of the United States...

I don't think there is any chance for her to beat him, can she even campaign against him in the Primary? It automatically goes to Obama as far as I can tell.

You think progressive Americans should be killed?

Deported to the communist country of their choice. They have more in common with communists and socialists than freedom and liberty loving Americans.

Hillary is too smart for that. She will remain a loyal soldier until the time is right

You think progressive Americans should be killed?

Learn how to read with comprehension and stop trying to put words in other peoples mouths, that's not what California Girl posted.

Never say never, rightwinger. I wouldn't vote for her - because she is a self described 'progressive' and as far as I am concerned, the only good progressive is a dead progressive.

Then what is she hoping for? Natural causes?

Here's a thought , if you're unsure ask the poster for clarification, I realize that's probably a novel approach for you but it works pretty well.

Thanks MIPS...I'll give it a try

California Girl....

You are not really wishing ill will on progressives are you?

the only good progressive is a dead progressive.

I wouldn't put it past Hillary. This guy's self-destructing, and all she's gotta do is resign her position early enough. Then sit tight for a few months and watch Barry continue to stumble until - all for the good of the party you understand - she has no choice but to come to rescue of the Democrats. It's ballsy, but she's got a set a hell of a lot bigger than Obama's.

And it's not without precedent. Teddy Kennedy wasn't a former member of the administration but a Senator no less when he made a run to get the party's nomination away from sitting incumbent Jimmy Carter. And I'm pretty sure he wasn't the first in history to try to do so.

Put your money on her now while the odds are the longest.

The makings for "the time is right" is already underway folks.

Saving the party from its wayward ways can be a powerful tool - the soldier coming to the rescue to bring the party back to itself and away from the awkward and dangerous ineptidude of the Chicago crowd.

Hillary could step forward and simply state, "For the good of America I am running. In my heart, America has always come before party - and so I am announcing my candidacy for President of the United States. At this time, our country needs someone willing to work across party lines, to eliminate the backroom deals and special interest machinations that has dominated Washington DC for much too long. We need someone to put the interests of the America citizens ahead of a political party machine. In essence ladies and gentlemen - we need, more than ever, true American leadership."

And he would have won that nomination if not for the woman he left to drown in his car a decade earlier...

Hillary will not run, in my opinion. Such an act would split the Democratic Party nationally, regionally, and even locally. BHO giving HRC the State portfolio was a shrewd move; HRC and Bill have tremendous influence on the shaping of American foreign policy. I think what we are seeing is far more Secretary Clinton's view than that of BHO.

President Pierce wasn't offered the nomination by his party after his first term.

Stranger things have happened.

The first step is for President Obama to move to the center. If the rumor that Rahm Emanuel is leaving to run for mayor, it may be indication such a move.

But I won't believe it unless he drops Biden for Cheney.

If the negative sentiment against Obama continues or worsens, then that's entirely plausible. All she would have to do is resign either later this year or early next year, lay in the weeds for a little bit and then pounce. Scott Brown basically won in the most liberal of states by distancing himself from Obama's policies; why wouldn't it work for Hillary in 2012 (provided things continue or worsen for Obama the way they are)?
