That is why we should have single term limits for federal career politicians like those guys. Them along with civilian federal employees are the swamp...

Yes, if undeserving, unwarranted, gotten by deceit, gotten out of a victim mentality, gotten out of generational habituation... HELL YES way too expensive for our Nation to swallow. The mere whiff of a fraction of a penny is too deleterious for them (most importantly) and should furthermore rile up the working taxpayers in a yearning to undergird, those in question, monetarily laying the frame work for them not to receive a fraction of a penny going forward! Have them answer phones, sit in lawn chairs turning a sign from 'slow' to 'stop', polish the banisters at the State Houses, use their battery powered wheelchairs to go up and down the sidewalks in our cities picking up trash with their pincer devices...

Give them dignity! And the richest Nation on earth can spend whatever it takes to eliminate the 'whiff' of that $.11 / tax payer / day handout in welfare, when most can contribute in some small, albeit a redundant, way! Pay them the same welfare benefits for clocking into a mausoleum for 8hr. a day... If you haven't gotten my point, lol.

Saying it is wrong to pay a politician does not make it right to redistribute $40.00 of my money.

I don't mind paying for people on welfare who are not able to work but I detest the lazy leeches who refuse to work, breed like rabbits and lay around the house all day texting on their smart phones. Every light inside and outside the house stays on 24/7. Uncut grass, trash on the porch and in the yard along with old cars on cinder blocks. Welfare payments should be just enough to keep them clothed and not starving. That would make the lazy bastards look for a job instead of being a burden on hard working people. No self pride whatsoever. And remember, the majority of welfare recipients are the 4th or 5th generation of welfare families. The brats they breed will also be on welfare the rest of their miserable existence
