Hemp's Potential

What is particularly neurotic is that it is against the law for US farmers to cultivate hemp. So we import it from elsewhere.

Some estimate that the global market for hemp consists of more than 25,000 products, including:

· fabrics and textiles

· yarns and raw or processed spun fibers

· paper

· carpeting

· home furnishings

· construction and insulation materials

· auto parts

· composites

· animal bedding

· foods and beverages

· body care products

· nutritional supplements

· industrial oils

· cosmetics

· personal care

· pharmaceuticals

I agree the hemp ban is stupid.

However, I also take the "HEMP WILL SAVE THE WORLD!" view not so seriously.

There's a small subset of smokers who preach like that. They can't just smoke it; they need to proclaim themselves to be morally superior for smoking it.

Dude.... I mean like righteous hemp is gonna save the world man...... :smoke:

KY tobacco farmers worked very hard to be allowed to shift from their under seige tobacco to hemp and as far as I know have still been denied. Difficult to see a frothy mouthed fanatic like Sessions being reasonable on this. Pot and hemp are two different things, it's generally not the pot heads or tobacco farmers who can't get that.
