A warning was sent out earlier today to all regional, federally funded, volcano observatories. The warning was directed to supervisory personnel and informed them that the pacific plate is moving and that all ring of fire volcanoes are moderate to high risk.

It instructs them to take appropriate monitoring level adjustments.

I guess they are worried that tectonic movement could awaken some of them..

I live in this region and do meteorological work for companies. I have good friends at YVO. Were overdue for a nice Hydro-thermal event but I haven't heard much about magma eruption threats from any of them.

A few years ago that was not the case. 2009 we had crust rise and earth quake swarms and these folks were nervous. That is when they decided they needed to remap the caldera and magma chambers. They about shit themselves when they found out the magma chamber was 10 times bigger than they though and it was 90% filled with viscous magma.

Absent crustal rise I don't think any eruption is close, but hey who wants to gamble on a volcano.

CONTRAIL don't last for fkn hours.........

Next time you are out watch the plane, watch how long it stays in the sky if it is a REAL CONTRAIL IT WON'T last and will fade out as the plane goes on, if it is NOT a contrail that same cloud streak will be there an hour later ....

Well this baby is spewing millions of cubic feet of H2S and other nice gases daily... In the ash/exhaust gas zone the temp has dropped about 3 deg C. IF this goes off and injects it into the Jet stream this will cool the whole globe due to its close to the equator location..
