Just switched over from Ubuntu to Mint 8. So far so good, restricted codexs included in the setup. This means my multimedia files play without searching the help forums to find them.
It comes with Thunderbird as the default mail but that's ok, I switched it for Evolution mail which I prefer. Desktop configuration is simpler and has more features and the overall look is much more refined.
I'd like to try Super OS but I can't get the ISO to load on a CD, it's too big.
For those who don't know Mint is built on Ubuntu by designers wanting to make Ubuntu more user friendly.
