Apparently, Harvard is hell bent on robbing the taxpayer one way or another.

Harvard University recently organized an event to support graduate students enrolling in government food assistance programs.

The Health Services office sent a flier to graduate students, encouraging them to participate in the SNAP Benefits Sign-Up event in April. The flier read, “Fuel your body & stock your pantry. Did you know that grad students may qualify for assistance paying for food & groceries?”

Harvard University is the wealthiest academic institution globally, boasting an endowment of approximately $53 billion. With such a substantial endowment, Harvard has the means to support a wide array of academic programs, research endeavors, scholarships and initiatives.

Guess those Harvard degrees don't pay what they use to.

When Walmart did this, liberals went apeshit.

Hey...just like WalMart and McDonalds.

And the US Military...

-----

Its sad that this is what we have come to accept in the culture today. We in one regard don't pay people enough to keep them off of public assistance when they are serving the nation and accept that we'll subsidize the private industries who should be footing the bill themselves.

In the case of Harvard it's bewilderingly sad.

the military are not rich people,, harvard students are,,

Rather ironic that pretty much every single on of those students will be millionaires. But hey, if they qualify then they qualify. nothing wrong with Harvard or their students taking what they are offered.

The fact they qualify, OTOH, that is the problem.

They should be paid enough to not go on food stamps.
they should,, and I blame that on democrats and republicans,,

but they arent the topic of this discussion,,

this is about rich kids or those that will be the highest wage earners in america,, if havard is so concerned about them then they should include it in the tuition or use some of that endowment money,,

A great idea, that way when they become the politicians that dictate to us they can save us from their policies and starvation by knowing more about giving us food stamps.

Not all are rich.

But your point is correct.

They should be paid enough to not go on food stamps.
They are.

The issue is that the military hides half of what they get paid because it allows them to sell the false narrative of how their retirement works. It revolves around a rather overcomplicated pay system.
