Nice try, Kosmo, but the rules of germs didn't suddenly just change for Covid: all my life it has been understood to cover your mouth when you cough. Viruses are transferred mainly by coughing in someone's face. Short of that, the far more common way is by touching a surface that has viruses on it then transferring those viruses to your face touching your mouth, eye, etc. If you are not sick, the mask does nothing to protect others. It may do a little to protect you but it leaks like a sieve around the edges! ITMT, people fiddle with them every 15 seconds doing what? TOUCHING THEIR FACE!

The key to reducing viral impact is by staying away from others best as you can, avoiding coughs and washing your hands and avoiding touching your face. The same stuff parents were teaching their kids 60 years ago.

If you are sick, don't wear a mask, STAY HOME. Short of that, wear a mask when you can, it can't hurt, but it is by no means a panacea for other precautions nor a guarantee.
