Gun sales rules are way too lax. So are storage rules. And bullets need to be tracked. How it got from the legal manufacturer to an illegal's hands is the main problem. Not saying he shouldn't have been locked up. But the main problem is chain of custody. How this guy got a legally manufactured gun is the problem. The gun the guy used was made by a legal manufacturer. So between it’s legal manufacture and this guy’s hands, there’s a breakdown. That’s what we need to fix.
Yes...he should have been in jail ...that was the break down. That is what we need to fix. Again, law abiding gun owners with guns, over the last 25 years...and we have had a decrease of 49% in the gun murder rate....you have no point. Gun violence over the last 25 years as more Americans own and carry guns...17.25 million Americans carrying guns for self defense......gun violence down 75%......75%......so you are wrong...again....law abiding people who own and carry guns does not increase the gun crime rate, the gun murder rate or the violent crime rate...
You policies that release violent criminals onto our streets over and over again are leading to death and violence...that is you, not guns...
He is a criminal...he stole it. Next.
The actual problem is that he should have been in custody at the time of his rampage....people like you let him go...allowing him to get the illegal gun, and to commit all of the following crimes.......
The problem is letting known, violent, repeat offenders out of jail, over and over again.
Yes...you are right....the illegal alien criminal should have been in jail, not out in the public stealing the private property of law abiding citizens. How do you maintain the chain of custody when a criminal breaks into a home or private business and steals stuff? Hmmmmm...do you also say that the problem in a rape is why the woman allowed herself to be raped?
