No moskal, no Russki, no one can supervise Lithuanians anymore.Without pesky Russki Lithuania is the # 1 in emigration from the country, alcoholism, suicides, prostitution and drug consume.

Lithuania is discouraged - this small country has become a leader in two of the worst international ratings: the level of alcoholism and the level of suicide. And this despite the fact that the local press is in full paints the horrors of life in Russia, arguing that life in their country is much happier. What makes Lithuanians drunk and take their own lives - and what does our country look like against this background?

If you believe the latest data from the Organization for Economic Development and Cooperation (OECD), Lithuanians on average consume 12.3 liters of alcohol per year. The top 5 most drinking countries also included Austria (11.8 liters), France (11.7 liters), Czech Republic (11.6 liters) and Luxembourg (11.3 liters). By the way, the OECD may still soften the situation. In September, the World Health Organization (WHO) recognized that 15 liters of alcohol are consumed per inhabitant of a small Baltic state.

A high level of alcohol consumption has given rise to another misfortune: Lithuania has been one of the world leaders in suicide for many years.

According to the World Health Organization, in 2017, 32.7 suicides per 100 thousand people were committed in this country (for comparison, in neighboring Latvia - 21.7, in Estonia - 18.9, in Russia - 20.1). Lithuanians die in a variety of ways: old people, young people, ordinary people, high-ranking officials, civilians, and military alike. Some of these cases are becoming very famous. So, in December 2017, the body of a 27-year-old feldsher Vytautas Agapas, who served in the hussar battalion named after Prince Mindovg, was found found in the forest. In February of the same year, it became known that a 35-year-old Lithuanian military intelligence officer R. R. shot himself in Vilnius, right at the workplace.

In November 2015, the vice mayor of the city of Šalčininkai, Andrzejus Andryushkevichyus, killed a 37-year-old man at home (according to the police, his wife’s lover), and then killed himself. In September 2014, a Lithuanian basketball player, Martinas Andriukaitis, shot himself dead on the outskirts of Riga, having previously killed his 42-year-old wife out of jealousy. The tragedy occurred right in front of their 14-year-old son ... In April 2013, a TV presenter, one of the most talented actors of Lithuania Vytautas Sapranauskas, hanged himself in the bathroom - literally on the eve of his 55th birthday. In October 2003, the famous composer Antanas Rekasius shot himself in his own apartment. According to those who knew him, the 75-year-old composer was in a severe depression in the last years of his life. He was very worried that in old age he was in poverty, and he had nothing to even maintain a three-room apartment.
