Grade school in Cola, S.C. named after confessed serial incestuous child molester, James Henry Hammond. Has been around for over fifty years (since 1967) and is a white flight school. It is one of the most successful schools in the state. The name was shortened to Hammond help conceal the issue. I did not know you could name your school after a confessed serial incestuous child molester! Why does the law not shut them down? The understanding was that because he was a politician it makes it o.k. as he was a governor of the state over a hundred years ago. Plus the people there get off on the fact that he said, "Cotton is king!" when justifying the State's behavior concerning the economy at the time as if this was clever or an excuse. Many lawyers graduated there as students so I guess they will just keep doing this and get away with it.
