Gore's spokespeople claimed that he wanted to sell his network to people who shared his ideology. Another dirty little detail is that the freaking hypocrite wanted the sale completed before Obama signed the tax increase so he would avoid the higher rate.

Similar to his soul-mate, the gigolo John Kerry, who docked his wife's yacht in another state in order to avoid higher docking fees in Massachusetts.

Or consider that they are informed and elect to lie anyway to realize some perceived political advantage – in this case to demonize Gore and by extension all ‘liberals.’

It’s typical of the conservative tactic of repeating a lie again and again in the hope it’s accepted as true.

That conservatives know the truth and facts of an issue but choose to lie is actually more reprehensible than making statements in the context of ignorance or being uninformed.
