It's an interesting theory, but where are the facts?

LOL!

Downpours, heavy snowfalls, and flooding

A warmer climate will bring an increase in precipitation worldwide, especially during winter and in mid- to high latitudes, according to climate model projections. In addition, more precipitation is expected to fall in downpours and heavy snowstorms leading to increased flooding and damages. The area of the U.S. affected by extreme rainfall has increased significantly since 1910. Heavy rainfalls have also increased in Japan, the former Soviet Union, China, and Australia. As climate change increases the risk of flooding, human changes in land use and land cover can also contribute to the growing risk of flooding.

Hotspot Selection Criteria: Observed events in this category are consistent with the projections for a more intense hydrologic cycle as outlined by the IPCC (2001), including more winter precipitation at mid to high latitudes and a greater portion of precipitation from heavy downpours. They are considered examples of events that would become more frequent and/or more widespread with continued global warming. For the rainfall events we confirmed that the region has been experiencing either an increase in heavy precipitation or an increase in annual precipitation, using journal articles or Annex A of the IPCC Regional Impacts report (IPCC, 1998). For flooding, we did not include events for which other factors (e.g., land clearing or wetland filling) were clearly major contributors, such as the summer 1998 flooding in the Yangtze Valley in China.

Interesting, the warming deniers have joined up with the Creationists.

Cordelia For Lear: The Lie of Evolution

The Lie of Evolution
The Evidence Against Evolution
by Heinz Lycklama, Ph.D.

The Theory of Evolution is widely regarded as a “fact” in the secular scientific
community. However, it can be shown that Evolution cannot even be regarded as a
theory because it is not testable or falsifiable. Darwin proposed his theory of evolution
based on his observations and analysis at a time when he did not have the powerful
scientific instruments that we have today. For example biologists can use the electronic microscope to examine the structure of a living cell today. In the 150 years since the publication of Darwin’s book on The Origin of Species, scientists have been able to use modern scientific instruments to learn about how living organisms function

Heres the poop s0n..................

Its called "weather" to most Americans...........which is the only thing that matters when it comes right down to it. But knock yourself out Rocks.............posting up these "science" links. Except for the nether-regions of the internet like this site, the majority laughs at the "science" because most people dont have OCD about weather stuff and most people these days dont like to look like a moron like the alarmists do. You might as well be running down the middle of main street in your bithday suit shaking a bananna at people!!! LOL.........by the end of this year, the Al Gore film is being banned in classrooms in England. Wake up and smell the maple nut crunch!!!

Its 2010 s0n.............the worm has turned politically on this issue. Every single poll shows with 100% certainty that people dont want to pay an extra $1,500/month on electricity by 2013 based upon a hail mary pass guess!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I believe Al Gore is a whopper. I definitely see a resemblance.

Algore is mr Carbon hoofprint.

listening to Algore talk about the environment is like listening to Paris Hilton talking about sexual and substance abstinence.

At first glance, I thought the thread title said "Gore Eats Another Whopper", and I'm like, so what else is new? Doesn't he account for at least 10% of Burger King's gross revenue in Tennessee (much like he uses about 10% of the energy in that state as well)?

But it was colder than usual at my house this winter so therefore it is conclusive. Globull warming is a myth spread by those anti oil types.

He actually said that January saw record Sea Surface temperatures - hardly surprising given that this is an El Nino year in the Pacific.

China Believes In Global Warming

China is starting to prepare for the commercial and strategic opportunities arising as global warming melts the polar ice cover in the Arctic, an international peace research group said Monday.

Researchers expect the North Pole to be ice free during summer months in a matter of decades, opening up new shipping lanes and potential resource exploration in an area believed to contain as much as a quarter of the world's undiscovered oil and gas

Iceberg breaks in Antarctica not where expected

Gore shouldn't preach nonsense like this. Some people may take him seriously. Like these people, for example:

The Mommy Files : Baby survives 'global warming suicide pact'

That's because China is in line to manufacture most of the materials for windmills, battery cells, etc, while at the same time going full on with their own oil, coal, nuclear, and natural gas production.

For the love of Canada will you pull your fat head out of your even fatter ass?

Interesting theory? Tell us you know where rain and snow come from.

ROFLMAO!

Please explain how Global Warming caused the Chilean Earthquake.

He actually said that January saw record Sea Surface temperatures - hardly surprising given that this is an El Nino year in the Pacific.

What he said is that January was the warmest in the 32 year record of satellite observation. Others have said that it was the warmest on record.

So a moderate El Nino now take the temperature analomy up as high as the strongest El Nino on record did in 1998. And a year with a strong La Nina and a very low solar minimum TSI, and no sunspots only put the temps down to the 8th or 10th warmest on record.

January 2010 UAH Global Temperature Update +0.72 Deg. C Roy Spencer, Ph. D.

The global-average lower tropospheric temperature anomaly soared to +0.72 deg. C in January, 2010. This is the warmest January in the 32-year satellite-based data record.

The tropics and Northern and Southern Hemispheres were all well above normal, especially the tropics where El Nino conditions persist. Note the global-average warmth is approaching the warmth reached during the 1997-98 El Nino, which peaked in February April of 1998.

This record warmth will seem strange to those who have experienced an unusually cold winter. While I have not checked into this, my first guess is that the atmospheric general circulation this winter has become unusually land-locked, allowing cold air masses to intensify over the major Northern Hemispheric land masses more than usual. Note this ALSO means that not as much cold air is flowing over and cooling the ocean surface compared to normal. Nevertheless, we will double check our calculations to make sure we have not make some sort of Y2.01K error (insert smiley). I will also check the AMSR-E sea surface temperatures, which have also been running unusually warm.
