"GOP is scared of immigration blowback"

If anything happens on immigration, it will only be after the Republicans control the Senate. They aren't going to deal with it in 2014, not before the midterm elections.

Republicans do not trust the Executive, and neither does the American public. So whatever does happen will be gradual and piecemeal.

I believe that any legislation with the word "comprehensive" associated with it will be defeated for the next 20 years thanks to the "comprehensive" clusterfuck known as Obamacare.

18,000 Hispanic American citizens a month turn 18.

The Republicans are doomed.

They are. But they need to choose what is the greatest danger to their party. Should they finally vote on immigration reform and begin repairing the system or should they continue to stonewall and obstruct. Which will damage the GOP the most?

The president’s correct, of course, there are pragmatic republicans of good faith who understand that immigration reform is not only needed but is the right thing to do, where immigrants are entitled to due process and a final determination of their immigration status. These republicans of good faith are, unfortunately, intimidated by the extreme social right hostile to immigrant rights and needlessly fearful of the ‘change’ that they believe immigration will bring.

How does amnesty for millions of poor/uneducated criminals and increasing the number of foreigners who can get work visas repair our broken immigration system?

I would think that actually enforcing the current laws, such as crackdown on employers, ceasing city/state "sanctuary" laws and securing the 2000+ mile border would be considered as "repairing the system".
Oh wait...i forgot. That's "racist"!
Also, how would DumboRats get new voters?

They should.. DO NOTHING since it's the only thing either major party is capable of pulling off without making things a complete disaster.

Then obstruction will cost them the Latino vote for generations to come....:clap2:

Oh well. That just means more votes from Whites, Blacks and Asians who are sick and fucking tired of criminals taking their jobs and sucking off their tax dollars.

Just imagine what will happen when you give them Obamacare...

I advise the liberals here to read a dictionary.

Immigration is legal. That's what happens when people obey the law to come here.

Illegal Immigration is *gasp* the illegal form of immigration. This is what happens when people try to skirt our immigration laws to come here. This is what we are afraid of.

Know the fucking difference.

The Republicans are doomed.

And, they go right on blaming others for their actions.

This latest bs about not trusting Obama is nothing more than what they always do -accuse the president of doing what they themselves do. Same as they did with shutting down part of the govt. They did it and then blamed others for it. They have consistently said they would not work with the president and then they lie about that too. And now the "king" lie. They each have their version of the various lies and rw voters can't think for themselves.

The R party is falling apart.

Come on...the people pointing fingers and blaming the other side has always been this Administration! They were doing it when they controlled the Oval Office, the Senate and the House...yet somehow it was evil Republicans that were holding up the President's agenda and slowing the recovery! They've been in office for almost five years and have repeatedly backed the GOP into a corner where they either give Obama a clean increase to the debt ceiling or they get blamed for "shutting down the government". Harry Reid has a stack of House bills sitting on his desk that he won't even let come to the Senate floor for discussion let alone a vote...yet he has the gall to demand that the House "do it's job". Barack Obama simply changes parts of legislation he doesn't like...delaying things that BY LAW were to be implemented by a certain period of time. That isn't what Executive Orders are meant to do and goes totally against our separation of powers concept and yet he does it with laws that affect millions of Americans and nobody says a word about it.

All about PARTISANSHIP and race with some of YOU clowns, isn't it?

They say that California is the national trend setter. It starts in California and heads it's way across the country.

At one time, there were Republicans who mattered in California. And, like the California GOP, the national Small Tent Republican Party is on its way to permanent minority status.

All along the way, hardcore conservatives will say that they keep losing because they aren't conservative enough. No one outside their little, small tent will listen to them.

In the meantime, while the base of the Republican Party has it's head so far up it's ass, the Democrat Party will successfully turn America into France with bad food.

You ever think you'd see your own country men and women cheer for you to be taken over by illegal immigrants, all for politics?

People seem to blame the Republican Party for the shape the country is in because they just aren't right. Their platform is wrong. There is nothing wrong with the Republican Party other than some of them want to change and be more like Dems. The reason the country is in the mess it's in is because everyone that voted for obama was voting for free stuff and screw the country. You can;t blame the Republican's for democratic greed. The democrats have created this mess and they have 3 1/2 years to fix it but they won't even try. I truly think the democrats hate this country and don't really care what happens to it. It's either that or they are just dumb and vote whatever way the party leaders tell them and never look at what their party is doing to our country.

And letting the shitbag (D)'s have their way with immigration will also cost them the Latino vote for generations to come. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Quick question for you:

Do you enjoy seeing the slow death of your country?
