The Republican establishment is nearing full-blown panic about Donald Trump. The demise of Trump's candidacy has been predicted by centrist Republicans and the media alike virtually since the day it began. But there is no empirical evidence at all to suggest it is happening. Last month, the liberal ThinkProgress collated more than 30 predictions of the business mogul's imminent demise. One typical example was The Washington Post's Jonathan Capehart, who discerned "the beginning of the end of Trump" in mid-July, soon after the mogul criticized the Vietnam War record of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) Despite all that, Trump has led...

AND EVEN CNBC KNOWS.....

  • Voters would show up if Trump is on 2016 ballot

If Donald Trump were the GOP nominee, he would cause the highest voter turnout, relative to any other Republican hopeful. John Kasich, on the other hand, would keep people at home. No matter what party affiliation you consider, Trump brings them out. Republicans, Democrats and independents are all most likely to show up if Trump is on the ballot. (In our analysis, we assumed a constant variable: the Democrats nominating Hillary Clinton.) Not only do they show up to vote, but they vote for Trump. He's got the highest percentage of voters - across both parties and independents.

If the GOP wants to save our country from a Nazi style holocaust they need to lock him out of the convention.

You're paranoia is borderline insane. Trump may be a corrupt man unworthy of the office, but he has never even implied a desire to murder groups of people in cold blood.

A public service announcement:

high turner vote out always goes to the democrats....thank you trump....for showing what asses your voters are

I'd be panicked too. So far I've only seen him compared to Mussolini, but he isn't that far from Hitler/Stalin territory.

Stuff like that is why voters dismiss Trump's critics as obviously partisan kooks and morons.

There's only the 40,000 Iraqis that Bush let in that I'm aware of.

Of course the GOP is very panicked.

The base is behaving like teenager having a temper tantrum, and are on the verge of throwing away a very winnable election.

We heard this same advice from the clowns who said Romney and McCain were the only ones who could win it.
