We need MORE boots on the ground. And we need to occupy, not "liberate".
Men are good. Agression is good. Ego is good, hate, is good, pride is good.

fuck foreign wars.

"boots on the ground...."

A euphemism used by many on the right in an effort to conceal their desire to send Americans to fight and die in yet another pointless, never-ending war in the ME.

One of many, many good reasons to keep a republican out of the WH come 2017.

No, the phrase "boots on the ground" is simply a euphemism for putting combat forces onto contested ground.

It has no bearing whatsoever upon partisan politics.

None.

The political leadership of BOTH parties have a long history of putting American "boots on the ground".

Sometimes the brawl is righteous...

Sometimes the brawl is specious...

Sometimes the brawl is pointless...

Everything depends upon the times and the adversary and the circumstances and the sincerity of the decision makers du jour...

It is the American People who allow the occasional mis-use of the men and women and assets of our armed forces, in wrong-headed adventures...

We owe those men and women our faithful and constant monitoring of our government in this context, and our objectivity, and pragmatism...

That includes not falling prey to hyper-partisan vitriole which holds that one party spends their lives wastefully while one party carefully husbands those lives...

Nonsense...

Both parties are full of shit when it comes to such things...

And only fools believe that both do not have bloody histories, and bloody hands, in the use of our armed forces, and that both must be watched closely...

BOTH .

How many times has Obama said there would not be any 'boots on the ground' and then proceeded to send then in to harm's way?

Obama has never acted in the irresponsible, criminal manner as did George Bush.

seems the gop thinks as long as they are volunteers ......it is good......the fact that they are volunteers means we should hold them more dear

WHAT!!!!!! You mean those men and women who VOLUNTEERED for the military DID NOT volunteer to have their lives wasted fighting in some shit hole desert that the people who live there wont fight for?

But but but the Republicans have no problem wasting their lives on bullshit wars.

Cause the Republicans are REALLY scared of some terrorists.

Are you sure they didnt volunteer to have their lives wasted in pointless
wars?

Must just be a Republican thing to waste lives on bullshit wars. After all, most of their kids didnt have to volunteer for the military. So whats the problem sending thousands to some shit hole desert.

There is a lot of money to be made in protracted wars. And you cant have protracted wars without putting those volunteer soldiers in a war zone.

That is the Republican way.
